Part-Time Minibus Drivers

We are seeking to appoint part-time minibus drivers for our morning and afternoon school runs. We are expanding our minibus network to include new routes in a 15 mile radius of central Oxford. Drivers will have the option of working mornings only, afternoons only, or both mornings and afternoons.

Drivers will pick up their vehicle from the School at the start of their shift and bring it back to the School at the end of the shift.

Hours of work

Term time only (approx. 34 work weeks per year, plus 28 days of paid statutory holiday).

Morning bus runs: 6.30 am to 8.30 am, Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week

Afternoon bus runs: 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week

Pay

£15 per hour. We pay monthly on the 27^th of each month by BACS transfer.

Requirements for the role

Excellent safe drivers holding a full UK driving licence, with CAT D1, for at least 2 years.

Responsible, reliable and friendly personnel, alert to the need to provide a safe and user-friendly service for children of school age.

Selection Process

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview. They must bring their passport with them, in order that we can check applicants’ right to work in the UK.

The successful applicants will be required to fill in a Disclosure and Barring form that will be used by us to ensure that they are allowed to work with children.

A barred list search will be made.

Once all clearances have been successfully completed, the successful applicants will start work in early September 2024.
