Our teaching staff provide quality teaching that is differentiated, inclusive and personalised appropriately, so that barriers to learning can be removed and pupils can reach their full potential.
At CCCS, we make sure every child makes at least good progress from their starting points. We do this through careful use of assessment to identify what children know, targeted and personalised teaching in small classes, and the support of our experienced teaching assistants. Each class in the Pre-Prep has a full-time teaching assistant working alongside the teacher.
The Pre-Prep teaching staff work closely with our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to plan for those who need more support. We are experienced in supporting children with a range of special educational needs; these children often thrive at CCCS because our classrooms are less busy than in most schools and the staff can focus on the needs of the individual, whether the child needs just a little more reassurance or more significant adaptations of the curriculum and learning environment.
