Brass Teacher
Job overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic brass teacher to join our school from January 2027, teaching pupils across a range of brass instruments including trumpet, trombone, French horn and tenor horn. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent musicianship, inspiring teaching skills and the ability to nurture young musicians of all abilities. As a choir school, CCCS educates Cathedral choristers as well as the choristers of Worcester and Pembroke Colleges, so Music is at the heart of school life, with many boys going on to win awards at senior schools.
There is currently a day of teaching available, with individual tuition (offered from Year 2 upwards) alongside the opportunity to direct a brass ensemble that performs at concerts and school events. The ideal candidate will be equally enthusiastic about inspiring beginners and stretching our most advanced players, and will enjoy playing an integral role in a busy Music Department. Whilst we are primarily seeking a versatile teacher who will teach across the range of brass instruments, applications from all brass specialisms will be considered.
The role is a part-time, permanent position (PAYE), for a start in January 2027. Candidates must have an established right to work in the UK, as well as fluent English.
