CCCS TEAMS UP WITH THOMAS FRANKS TO PREPARE HOT MEALS FOR THE HOMELESS

Last week, Christ Church Cathedral School lent its kitchen to Thomas Franks to prepare hot nutritious meals for the homeless in Oxford.

They then went out to the City to give out food to people in need. A spokesperson for Thomas Franks said, “The meals have been making a 'huge difference' to the homeless”.

Richard Murray, CCCS’ Headmaster, said “It is wonderful to work alongside Thomas Franks and offer a little relief to the Oxford community during a difficult time”.

In March, CCCS will be partnering with Mutual Aid, which provides 170 households with regular food, toiletries, and baby supplies, and delivers nearly 100 emergency food parcels a week in Oxford.

The School will shortly be setting up a donation box to collect donations of tins and packet food which will be collected by Mutual Aid every week.

Richard Murray said, "We hope that this will allow children to have a wider understanding of society, and be able to make a difference in their local community."
