Rugby School Music Workshop
We were delighted to welcome Ian Foster to CCCS last weekend, to spend time with our boarders on ensemble playing and squeezing in a mini master-class for some of our soloists, too. Mr Foster brought along his tuba and demonstrated an incredible range of effects (including flutter-tonguing and harmonics) which definitely impressed our brass players! The boys tackled some challenging music at sight, and were fearless in performing - as well as responding to constructive criticism throughout the morning.
Mr Foster is active across the Midlands as a performer, as well as being a key member of the team at Rugby, so it was wonderful to have him coaching our boys. I hope that this will develop the excellent links between our music departments!
