Move over, Jamie Oliver, there are new chefs in town!
Inspired by Jamie Oliver, our Reception class made their very own fresh pesto using basil, pecorino cheese, olive oil and sunflower seeds with a sprinkling of lemon zest.
The children helped with every step of the process and learnt how this popular Italian sauce is made. They discussed the different ingredients and their origins and also learnt about food hygiene.
We then spread our bright green concoction on pastry to make twisted pesto snakes.
