This experience was invaluable for Richard, nurturing both his professional and personal growth. During the week, he competed in both the Under 10 and Under 11 categories, finishing in the top half of the Under 10s, and earning a strong mid-field placement in the larger Under 11 draw with an impressive 64 competitors. His results beautifully reflect his determination, adaptability, and ability to compete confidently against a wide range of international players.

It wasn’t all hard work! Off court, Richard was able to observe academy athletes during their practice sessions, giving him a greater insight into understanding the commitment, work ethic and discipline required to achieve success at the highest level. Making many new friends from all over the world also strengthened Richard’s communication skills, cultural awareness and respect for diverse perspectives.

An unforgettable highlight was meeting one of his heroes - Mr Nadal himself! A moment we’re sure he will always cherish.

Richard’s involvement in the TEN-PRO Global Junior Tour represents an important milestone in his tennis journey, and his coach is grateful to the School for their support in making this experience possible.
