Magic Pebble Poems

Today is National Poetry Day! Form 2 let their imaginations run wild as they wrote their very own poems about Magic Pebbles.

Inspired by Roger McGough’s The Magic Pebble, the children thought carefully about what their own magical pebble might look like, where they might find it and, most importantly, what amazing things it could do.

The results were wonderfully imaginative! We had pebbles which could create jelly floods, turn into pets and even give their owners superpowers!

As well as having a lot of fun, the children showed great articulation, experimenting with rhyming words, repetition, description and bringing their ideas to life.

The class worked really hard on their poems - we hope you enjoy reading them here.
