On Tuesday, Form 5 had a wonderful day with the Design Technology Department of St Edward’s School. Their facilities for DT are superb, and it was fantastic for our boys to have the chance to use them. They made two creations. First, they used a range of hand tools (including a particularly sharp type of Japanese saw) to create mirror frames. Then, after lunch, they made 2D designs using special software and watched them being printed onto foam using the huge, fast laser cutter. They were then able to press out the designs and use them to create unique table tennis bats.
