Happy New Year from Flaine!

While most of us started the new term carefully, trying not to slip and slide along Brewer Street, fourteen of our boys decided it would be much more fun to do just that, in Flaine!

After an early morning start to the airport, the boys, accompanied by Madame Loyer, Mr Davies and Mr Boarder, spent a week learning new skills on the ski slopes with their friends.

Not only did the beginners learn how to ski, and intermediate and advanced skiers improve their technique, they also learnt about mountain wildlife, avalanche and rescue effort, joys and risks of extreme environments.

The resort had a lot of indoor activities for the boys to enjoy after skiing, and the food was simply amazing. The chef was from the area, so tartiflette, croziflette, raclette and fondue were on the menu - plenty of hearty food with melted cheese! The sous-chef was from Brittany, so crêpes, sausages, mussels were also there for the boys to taste.

The boys were incredible - everyone supported each other which was lovely to see.

There are a stack of photos and videos for everyone to enjoy, and for the boys to relive their adventure!
