Private Independent Day School for Boys 3 - 13 & Girls 3 - 7, Flexi-Boarding for Boys 8 - 13

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

After a tour of the School, we will then organise a taster visit for your child.

If your child is in Nursery or Pre-Prep they will be invited to spend part of a morning with the appropriate class for an informal assessment.

If they are joining us in the Prep School (from Year 3 upwards) boys are invited to spend a whole day with the appropriate class and will be assessed academically (in reading, writing, spelling, comprehension and maths) on a one-to-one basis in a friendly and informal way. Although we welcome children at any stage of their educational journey, our three main entry points into the School are:

NURSERY - for boys and girls who are 3 or 'rising', i.e. they turn 3 during the term in which they join the School.

RECEPTION - for boys who join the School in the September following their 4th birthday and girls with a sibling at the School.

PREP SCHOOL - for boys who join the School in the September following their 7th birthday.

Applications are also welcome for any other entry point, providing there is space.

There are four boarding places in each year group for Cathedral Choristers. Because of the nature and commitments of the Chorister role, all Cathedral Choristers board. These boys will be invited to a voice trial and, if not in the School already, for a taster day and academic assessment. Boys are then invited to a sleepover in our Boarding House.

If a boy is in another school at the time of applying, a reference from his previous school will be sought.

Applications for admission are usually dealt with by date of application order with priority given to siblings.

We very much look forward to seeing you.
