Pre-Prep Celebrates British Science Week

In celebration of British Science Week, Forms 1 and 2 have been conducting some interesting experiments...

Form 1 conducted an action-packed rainbow experience, and discussing the importance of fair testing and Cows Moo Softly – control something, measure something, keep something the same.

Meanwhile, over in Form 2, the children have been learning about plants - their parts, their needs and their life cycles. The children have been eagerly watching the development of the sunflower seeds which were previously planted and sitting in beautifully decorated pots. Most of them now have a stem, roots and leaves but no flowers yet. Some were also planted onto wet paper towels in clear bags, allowing the class to see when the seeds started germinating and all the roots growing. Fingers crossed they will have some beautiful sunflowers at the end!
