World Book Day

Posted on 4th Mar, 2021

The CCCS community, nothing daunted by lockdown, celebrated World Book Day 2021 in style with a wonderful variety of caps, hats and hairdo's in the image of favourite authors and characters from literature.

Mr Watson began the day with an online literary Assembly, reading from Peter Rabbit, Harry Potter, The Just So Stories, The Hound of the Baskervilles and last but not least, the magical opening pages of Tigerella!  Ages present ranged from Florence - lovely to see you! - to, well, Mr Watson!!  Mr Murray's Mad Hatter's hat was so big that it stuck out of the top of his screen!

The boys were invited to send in a photograph of their favourite books, which were all made into a 'wall' and used as the backdrop for this morning's Assembly... Special thanks  to one of our families for the wonderful image in the footsteps of Gerald Durrell.

Congratulations go to Maxime for his outstanding half term book review of His Dark Materials... which will now have pride of place on Mr Murray's bookshelf.
