Speech Day 2020
Posted on 10th Jul, 2020
After a largely virtual Trinity Term, the year ended with a virtual concert and Speech Day.
With our special guest, Alexander Armstrong in attendance, the afternoon began with a concert, including live and recorded performances.
We heard from the three college choirs; Christ Church Cathedral, Worcester College and Pembroke College. There were stunning performances by the String Quartet and String Orchestra which had been recorded under lockdown and edited together.
The concert was followed by Speech Day, with the prizes and cups being announced by Alexander Armstrong. Afterwards, he spoke to the assembled audience, joining us from their homes around Oxford and around the world. There were also speeches from the Headmaster, the Dean and the Head Boy, Archie Edbury.
A fitting end to a very unusual term.
