Form 5 Visit Oxford Central Mosque
Posted on 7th Jul, 2019

On the last Monday of term, Form 5 set off for Oxford Central Mosque.
Form 5 have been studying Islam during the Trinity Term and the visit provided an ideal opportunity to learn more about prayer in Islam. We saw the prayer halls and learnt about how younger members of the community learn Arabic in order to read the Qur’an. The boys had lots of questions which were answered by our guide and they were especially impressed by the beautiful calligraphy which decorated the mosque and in particular the inside of the dome.
