Chinese/Lunar New Year
Posted on 23rd Jan, 2020
Pre-Prep celebrated Chinese, or Lunar, New Year, a festivity which culminated in them performing a Dragon Dance in the afternoon.
Our catering staff had laid on the most fabulous Chinese meal that I had to pinch myself to remember, when I saw the wonderfully colourful display of culinary delights ranged upon the counter and smelt the ravishing aromas, that this was a school. May I take this opportunity to thank our catering staff for their wonderful efforts, not just on this occasion but in serving us delicious food week in, week out.
The children enjoyed tasting native Chinese fruits and vegetables including: Dragon fruit, lychee, pak choi, moule radish, Rambutan, Chinese melon, salak fruit (snakeskin fruit) and bok choy.
