Science is taught to stimulate the boys' natural curiosity of the world around them.  A hands on approach helps the boys develop practical skills and independence to answer the how, what, when, where and why?

The boys are familiar with, and use, scientific methods to safely carry out investigations increasing their understanding, not merely learning the facts to pass exams.

From Form 3 onwards, Science is taught in a purpose-built laboratory, by a Science specialist teacher following the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.  From Form 7 onwards, the ISEB 13+ syllabus is followed in preparation for Common Entrance examinations.
