CHRIST
CHURCH CATHEDRAL SCHOOL
OLD
BOYS' ASSOCIATION
The CCCS OBA was founded in 1933, and exists to keep former pupils and choristers in touch with the School, and with each other. All former pupils of the School, whether choristers or not, may join the Association. T he Association arranges Reunions, usually at the School, on a regular basis (usually every two years).
LAST REUNION, SATURDAY 11 JUNE 2005

The Reunion was attended by a number of regulars, and also by some who had not been seen for many years. We began the day at 12 Noon with Sherry in the McKenna Room Christ Church, attended by our President, the Dean of Christ Church, the Very Revd Christopher Lewis, and went on to lunch in Christ Church Hall. This was followed by a tour of the Cathedral, led by Hugh McDonald (Headmaster 1973-91), who provided much fascinating information about the early history of the Cathedral and College. The tour ended in the Cathedral garden, where group photographs were taken.
We then returned to the McKenna Room for Tea & Biscuits in McKenna Room, followed by a General Meeting in the old Choir Practice Room, at which the proposal to form an Educational Trust jointly with the Parents' Association, for the benefit of the School, was approved and the constitution of the trust was ratified. Richard Lane was elected Chairman in succession to Ron Roberts. At Evensong Old Boys were allowed to join Choir in singing Walmisley in D Minor and the anthem Like as the Hart desireth the Waterbrooks, by Herbert Howells.
The day ended with Sherry (again in the McKenna Room) followed by Dinner at the School, in the Hall of the Sir William Walton Centre, at which the principal guests were The Very Revd Nicholas Coulton, Sub Dean, Martin Bruce, Headmaster and Mrs Bruce, Paul Wavell, Deputy Headmaster, Mrs Lisa Mynheer, Chairman of the Parents' Association, and her husband Nicholas Mynheer.
