Dimitrios Hailed as Best Under 10 Chess Player in Greece

Dimitrios, who joined CCCS this term as a Cardinal Scholar, has been hailed as the best Under 10 chess player in Greece. Dimitrios, nine, secured his victory in the International Chess Competition in Apokoronas, Crete, after beating a 15-year-old in a four and a half hour match.

Pop-Up Bookshop at CCCS

Boys at Christ Church Cathedral School enjoyed a morning of browsing books and munching on cakes at the pop-up bookshop which came to the School. The innovation was the brainchild of Mr Watson, Head of English at CCCS, and Mrs Virgin, who runs Jaffé & Neale bookshop, in Stow-on-the-Wold.

Ivan Chetverikov, in Year 3, scored a notable success by winning the Oxfordshire County U-9 Trials held at Cumnor School this month.

2015 CCCSPA Summer Ball

The 2015 CCCSPA Summer Ball took place on Friday, 3rd July. It commenced with Croquet and Champagne in Christ Church's splendid Masters' Garden, followed by a sumptuous dinner with fine wines and dancing to live band “Night Moves” until midnight. It was a wonderful event greatly enjoyed by all.
