"David Choules is a fitness coach from Wasps Rugby Team. He came to school to talk to Year 5 and 6 boys about fitness and health. He told us that every rugby player has to have a good diet. He said that water is a key part of a diet and when you are training. We had to tell him about our diet and he said how we could improve it.
The Colts had a lesson from him about placing the ball in a ruck and some other basic skills. It was a brilliant day and very informative. Thank you Mr Choules!" - Duncan, F5
F5 violinist Quinn has recently attended his first rehearsal with the regional division of the National Children’s Orchestra. He says:
“160 people came together to rehearse at Wellington College in January. The conductor was Roger Clarkson, who was quite nice and really funny. It was magical how it sounded. When you think of one section of the orchestra it doesn’t seem that good, but when it all comes together you can’t imagine how it happens! We played ‘Little Suite’ by Malcolm Arnold and ‘Short and Suite’ by Matthew Curtis, but my favourite piece was the ‘Theme’ from Lord of the Rings. I met lots of new people who were really nice, and I am looking forward to the next rehearsals in February.”

Forms 3 and 4 have had their audiences in stitches, performing the musical 'Goldilocks' to parents and friends on Thursday and Friday nights. Based on one of the 'Revolting Rhymes' by Roald Dahl, the show gathers together prosecution, defence, police, public gallery, bears and assorted woodland animals to examine the evidence against Goldie. Is she guilty of breaking and entering? And just what does Little Bear have to say about the matter?
Congratulations go to cast and crew for their hard work and very entertaining performances!

On Tuesday, Form One had the pleasure of visiting Oxford's History of Science Museum. The day dawned bright and sunny - the perfect weather for the walk to the museum. Having made good time the children arrived eager for their workshop on the “Real Stuff”.
In Science lessons Form One have been looking at the properties and uses of different materials. During three activities at the museum the class got to explore some of the more unusual materials used throughout history. They even got to touch and test the feel of the raw materials, which was just “so cool” as one little scientist exclaimed! Finally the children made their own glasses with some interesting results.
