Treasures of Christ Church
is a newly recorded, special collection spanning 500 years of English choral music performed from original manuscripts, uncovering the unique history of music at Christ Church, Oxford. All of the works on Treasures had an association with Christ Church, stretching back to the tenure of John Taverner, through Tallis, Handel, Purcell and Byrd to present day world premiere recordings of works by John Rutter and Howard Goodall.
Treasures of Christ Church is the highest new entry in this week’s UK Specialist Classical chart, where it has debuted at Number 8. The disc featured on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’ on Monday 26 September, and features on Radio 3’s Breakfast Show on Tuesday 27 September.
