Music

Every pupil receives class music teaching in which they sing, listen to and create their own music. In addition, the majority of boys choose to start playing an instrument - the full orchestral range is available, as well as piano and guitar. Weekly rehearsals of instrumental groups as well as regular concerts provide a focus for these studies, as do music exams.
Each year, pupils take part in the IAPS Orchestra and Band courses run at a national level. A strong tradition of music drama exists in the school too, several operas having been written for - and performed by - the school! Choral opportunities of a high order exist for every pupil, and the choristers of Christ Church Cathedral and Worcester College are all educated at the school.
