Food & Health

All boys eat school lunch, which is prepared on the premises. Lunch is eaten as a community and teachers sit with pupils to share in a well-mannered, enjoyable experience. Provision is made for vegetarians and those who have known food allergies. A snack is provided at break time and drinking water is available throughout the day as part of the Oxfordshire Healthy Schools scheme, of which the school is a member. Two matrons provide comprehensive cover for the school’s surgery and the school doctor is nearby if there are concerns during the school day. Education about health is an important component of the school’s Personal and Social Education programme throughout the age-range.
